A great hotel with a low price. Helpful staff and a wonderful breakfast. Incredibly nice and clean indoor and outdoor. The hotel is recommended, but not the city of Cha Am. Cha Am town was not a favorite for us. No opportunities for shopping, most handmade goods and small selection of restaurants. The beach was nice, but unfortunately very dirty. There was so much garbage on the beach. We had several nights in Hua Hin. There were many good restaurants to choose and a wide variety of shopping. Easy to get there. Taxi round trip cost 700 bath. It s cheap when the trip took 25 minutes one way

Room s decoration is very simple but other facilities and bathroom is o.k. The location is good. The massage service is very good reasonable price. Overall service is good except the front desk, never see the smile on their face.

A great hotel in a perfect location just across the road from a lovely beach. There are free deck chairs and parasols for hotel guests. Information about the hotel services and what to do out and about is hard to find and the staff do not speak or understand english very well but this is a minor issue.The hotel room was huge and very comfortable and very clean. All of the public areas were well maintained and the breakfast although a bit limited in choice was good quality.We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to this hotel.

Very satisfied with the quality of the room and general amenities. Issues though... 1. Live music playing near our room was too loud and played too late (many nights past 10.30pm). Sometimes we couldn t hear the TV, the room reverberated and was simply too loud. 2. Not all staff were able to speak English. 3. Staff were not informed or had little knowledge of local tourist attractions (local markets, golf) 4. Staff were not always friendly

Good location in Cha Am. The breakfast buffet gives a good variety to chose from. Rooms are nice with balcony. Not too fond of the strong chlorine in the pool. otherwise will return.

we stayed in the pavilion. if you are two famylies or 8 persons, it is perfet. the pool service is exellent and bar/restaurent prices at the pool are very cheap. morning buffet is fantastic. this is second time we stay here and again fantastic, and the weather is always good in chaam

Great and clean place to stay for families and others, good BF and food, big outdoor pool, Hotel placed right beside the beach, all you need just some steps around, nice surroundings to exam by motorbike, outside numerous food places, at harbour favourite seafood restaurants, on weekends along the beach street fresh seafood to eat directly on the beach, two small bar areas for the lonely ones.

The location by the beach and nearby restaraunts make this an ideal choice for travellers of all types, be it family, couples or business travel. The facilities are excellent and the buffet breakfast is generous and comprehensive. Highly recommended.

nice hotel right on the beach,nice rooms,good value for money,2 large pools,high standard buffet breakfast. free wifi is 150bt for 2 hours!had a great time only spoilt buy the hotel management deciding to do building work outside my room at 2am,banging and drilling which at first they refused to stop,they firstly offered me another room at 2am,with my 6 yo child in attendance i refused,only when i got my video camera out and started filming the duty manager told them to stop.it spoilt an enjoyable stay.

Room quality is quite good. but the recepting choose the room close to the night stage. (Rm#252) So, I and my family (daughter is 6 yrs) was sleepless all night. Also car park is very far from hotel lobby. Hope next trip, the room is better.

This was the tird time we stayd in Methalavai Hotel and that tells more than words. We just love this hotel and the location. We have stayd in other hotels before in Hua Hin area, in new hotels, but they are fenced in from the local people and we think that then we can be staying everywhere in the world. We do recommend Methalavai Hotel if u like to come close to the Thai people. Very good service as well.

For people with a family (kids) this hotel is ideal. The location is about as good as it gets on Cha-am beach - not too busy, but plenty of ammenities to keep adults and young kids happy. The section of beach across the street is one of the hotels distinguishing features; there is a nice area of low densirty unberella s and there is not too many vendors and/or locals on an away day clogging up the street side parking in their 4x4 pick ups etc. The Hotel would be well advised to do their utmost to maintain the satus quo. There is a little bit of renovation going on at the moment, but unless you plan to sit in reception all day, it is of little of no disturbance. The food on offer at this hotel is quite good. Nice selection. Western food as good as can be expected, plenty of Thai-style dishes suuitable for the Western pallet, and good proper Thai food (my Thai wife recommends it). The breakfast is the usual buffet style offering, but it is nicer than average and better than many of the 4-5 star places I often stay at. All in, nice hotel, nice staff, good clean bright rooms, and no downside that is worth mentioning (accept maybe the small the car park, which is just about adequate).

I have used Sawadee for years. I had a problem with the service once, but it was resolved. I am glad to see that the service is back to its former excellent self.
